Thank you for your review. I sampled a few pages that did not particularly pique my interest. This review further confirms that this is a slower paced novel that only captures a short period of the protagonist's life.
I go for more fast paced fiction novels, but should I ever feel for a more relaxing read, I'll certainly rivet to today's BOTD selection.

Sip Lake by Joe Basara is a fiction novel set in Florida from May until September of 1977. The amount of unique names is a little discouraging since I struggle to remember names. I think it is unique that the POV is from a man. The story is told from Owen Cloud’s point of view.

Owen seems to be an interesting character and I’m looking forward to digging into this novel to find out romantic relationships from a male’s perspective. I like character-driven stories and this one seems to be right up my alley. Will he find love and if he does, will it be successful? There’s one sure way to know so happy reading everyone.

Based on the review, this romantic fictional story is unique in that it is romance from a male perspective. Great review!

This book’s blurb was very quirky, and I wasn’t sure if I would enjoy the story, but your review has persuaded me to give it a try. Thank you for your recommendation, and congrats on BOTD.

Slow-paced novels have never been my thing, but if it really does reflect mundane life well then I will at least try to read it. It also sounds like I might need to keep a pen and paper close by to keep the characters straight!

A story about a relatable character progessing through life sounds interesting if they are well-developed. The perspective of romance through a male character's eyes is something not often seen in stories. NIce objective review.

This sounds like an amazing book. We see how Owen moves to a small town and tries to form a good relationship with his colleagues and patients. He even tries to have romantic relationships. I would like to read about his journey. Congratulations on BOTD!
