Such an excellent review which was much more interesting and appealing to me than the actual sample. Being true to the British context, I can only say this wasn’t my cup of tea. However, I’m sure romantic novel fans will love this book.

A story of two friends: Eva and Sabrina, set in Amsterdam, they decided to go to Amsterdam to experience about their fears with their sensual sides, there, they could explore and live exciting experiencies. A book recommended for those who like romance and thrill with sensual content with a great dose of humor.

Wow! I didn't know this was an erotica book at first till I got deeper into the story, but it was wild! To be honest the beginning was slightly confusing I couldn't quit figure out who the book was more about and whose story went with who at first till I read more, but once you catch on you start to get it! I love how just in the first couple chapters the author use really helps you understand why the character is the way she is. Her villains seemed like they were sleeping with each other for sure! Though the book has great descriptive words I wish it had a little more dramatics, spice it up a little more during the middle sections there are enough boring nervous girls in erotic and love story books. She can be nervous and still be determined, I can't wait to see how she blossoms! All in all I wouldn't mind reading more of this book! Her best friend is seriously amazing I really hope she helps bring more freedom to her friend other than through her sexuality! Those first couple chapters have great contexts on living in stasis with out realizing it that really hit home. I know what it feels like to feel like you're not doing enough your story creates a connection to people outside of just entertainment.

As for me, reading books with erotic or sexual themes are not in my list of thrilling topics. But I would like to explore the actions and inactions of Eva and Sabrina in their long search of driving their love affairs. These women might be great leaders together with their male partners. Well, I hope the two women have the necessary qualities to make their men happy and satisfied with living in peaceful and romantic lives.

Sounds like there's a lot more here than just erotic content. Looks like a great "girl power" read. Thanks for your review.

I avoid erotica, but your description of all the other positive attributes of this book has me almost convinced to try it out. Great review!

A romantic thriller story with sex appeal, and women’s fiction in the book "The Red Light" by L. H. Roberts, which depicts the sexual challenges of both Eva Barber and Sabrina Taylor, the two adults friends working in a publishing house in London. It seems like the book throws lights on many other aspects of romantic life than mere sex appeal.
life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.

Blending erotica and friendship themes is unique, but definitely not my style. Glad you enjoyed it. I'll have to pass.

I absolutely agree with you. I also thought,"Hmm...not really my thing, but let's see what it's like." Six chapters later and I'm thinking, I need this book ASAP! What a wonderful style the author has and very down-to-earth, believable characters. I cannot wait to finish reading. Your review of this one was excellent and summed it up perfectly.

The book, "The Red Light", by L. H. Roberts us about two women Sabrina Taylor and Eva Baxter who are best friends. They live in London, work together and are going to Amsterdam( their office is sending them to work for 3 months). They decide they are going to do sexual activities which are totally out of character for then, especially Sabrina, while they are in Amsterdam so they make a list out and decide they will draw to decide which one will do which activity. The book touches on the sensual side of these women but it also shows the limitations that some women put on themselves when it comes to relationships. It is a very good, descriptive, attention holding book. The author has really written a good book so far in the first six chapters and I look forward to reading the remainder of the book. I give it 4*'s.

It sounds like Roberts wrote a book with the perfect balance of humor, thriller, and erotica through two female protagonists. I like that Roberts explores the friendship between two independent women and the empowerment they have. I also like that I can learn more about Amsterdam. I enjoyed reading your review. Thanks!

While erotica is not my cup of tea, i do appreciate books that advocate strong friendships and female bonds and empowerment.

I agree with your observation that there are so many different aspects of relationships that can be highlighted. The erotica scenes would have me skimming too much of the text! Thanks for the interesting review.

Excellent review - bravo! I'm not a big fan of romance, so I think I will pass on this one, but it sounds great for those looking for a fast-paced novel filled with humor, friendship, and sex, set in none other than Amsterdam! Thanks so much!
