Even the review brought tears to my eyes and i wounder what reading the whole book will do. it will take one who is totally healed of all the scars to write such a heartbreaking story about their own life. i am glad she has grown to become a voice for anyone in need of it. great heartfelt review.

Such a sad thing that happens so regularly! This review made me immediately want to pick up this book & not set it down until it’s done. What a brave woman to be able to tell her story, I can’t wait to read it!

I am moved by the fact that the book addresses the power behind true love and faith. The story, I am quite sure, will help someone who may be going through a similar struggle as Aimee. Thanks for the review.

Truly in awe with the strength of Aimee and Michele. Standing up against abuse and still uphold love later is amazing. For Aimee, she even tries to let her would-be husband know about her past. Thanks for a great review.

This is far too chilling a story to read. I wouldn't read it if it was fiction and I certainly won't read it knowing it's true. I have NO stomach for child abuse of any sort and feel this book would be traumatic. My heart sincerely goes out to the author and anyone in any kind of abusive circumstance. Ugh :'( thank you for the review.

This is an engaging story and a thrilling read, but also heartbreaking. I must commend Aimee for the courage to write this book, and I'm sorry you went through such a terrible trauma. I'm glad you survived. Some men can be horrible creatures.

I laud the author's courage in overcoming her devastating experiences. How horrible to not find nurturing from her own mother, a doctor at that. I am happy she found God, the divine physician. Keep healing, Aimee!

It’s devastating to hear what the author went through, but I’m very glad to see what a large role faith and her older sister had in saving her. I’ll definitely be checking this book out.

God, rape, non-fiction - thanks, but no thanks. This book is definitely not the one for me and I will have to pass.

I agree that Aimee has had a lot of courage in her life. The flow of the words in the book is good and it makes it captivating right from the beginning. A book I would like to read, for when I am in a mood to be brave. words like Love and Faith are deeper than we think and it is only with experience that we are able to understand them a bit better.

It sounds like a really sweet book. It's not one I'm going to be able to read as some of the topics are really sensitive. Good review!

Author tells a story of her very own life. Rape and violence. Indifference by the ones who supposed to protect her. Very sad but a brave thing to do. The faith gives us strength. Congrats on BOTD.

I read a sample of this book and it sounds like a book that I would typically read as non fiction is always more interesting, and like how the author loves God and leans on Him. The book flows well and is easy to read based on the preview, the author gives just enough details about things that happened to her without writing down every little detail or giving too little. I will likely look it up and buy it on Amazon.

Survivor memoirs captivate the emotions of the readers and assist fellow survivors in their path to recovery. For those who inexperienced in these extreme circumstances, these accounts impart the unimaginable torment of a young child along with the strength of her emerging adulthood to stand up against the perils of immorality. Those autobiographical portrayals that triumph gives hope to others that grace and healing can be found through faith as demonstrated through this book.

Looking only at the title of this book, I would not have chosen to read it, but after reading the review I would reconsider. A true story about people who were able to persevere despite the awful hand they were dealt is inspiring, even if what they endured is heartbreaking.
