"A Curate in Love" by Richard Hughes follows his journey as an assistant curate in Mold, navigating faith, duty, and love. With deep insights into religious history and personal struggles, it’s a reflective read. Congratulations on being BOTD!

Religious fiction is not my cup of tea but the book sounds quite educational and provides enough food for thought. I've read the sample and found a couple of ideas that will make you start thinking. I'm sure the book will find its reader. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

The reviewer does a good job highlighting the book's content. The review indicated some challenges experienced when reading the book, such as understanding the meanings of the language used in some parts. I also found a few parts of the book difficult to understand, but overall, an interesting read. I think the review will assist people to determine if they want to make it their choice.

I'm an old soul, so I'm always up for a trip to gentler times. I get what you mean by the slow pace, but in some kinds of stories, I don't mind it. And romance stories make me happy. Thank you for your review.

Memoirs are not only accounts of other people's journeys; they also act as inspirations to others about to be on the same journey or already in it. Without exception, Richard's journey has a thing to learn. Wonderful review.

I read the sample of this book and enjoyed it. I liked the subtle humour and found the writing style clear and appealing. I'm intrigued to read more and discover what else happens to the curate.

History is always amazing, and I have added the book to my to-read shelf. This is definitely interesting, and it is true that a time always comes in almost everyone's life where we question our life choices.
Many thanks for this amazing review, @Ukaegbu Confidence.

Acurste in Love by Richard Hughes relates his life as the right hand clergyman of Form. He got to be the right hand minister of Shape. Upon entry at the Mold ward church, he was required to require Evensong for "Trinity Sunday" at a girl church of St. James. This book takes after Richard's life as he faces life's cards and overcomes obstacles in his relationship and curacy encounters.
It's a different book because is not ususal to write about clergy and to write about their doubst and career choices is just unusual.

This book has some interesting aspects, such as the author being a curate and in love with Ann, although the romantic aspect is minimal. Thank you for your informative review.

At first glance, I thought this would be a romance novel, because of the title. But it turned out to be a memoir about an assistant curate, and the reflections and challenges of his life. I'm not into religious books and it seems as though the vocabulary might just be a bit too intricate for me. However, it does sound interesting. Congrats on BOTD

This profound narrative delves into his personal trials in ministry, the complexity of his relationship with Ann, and his inner conflicts surrounding faith, responsibility, and love. Set against a backdrop of challenging living conditions and entrenched religious traditions, Hughes’ story resonates with anyone seeking to understand the delicate balance of devotion and humanity. It is disappointing to hear that this is not so much the love story as the title purports this book to be. I have sat through enough religion classes and church services to know some religious history.

This memoir of a young, energetic Curate trying to carve out his niche
working under a very traditional Vicar sounds interesting. The Curate’s being in love with a woman who is an atheist is even more proof of the gap in beliefs or philosophy between the Curate and the Vicar. The struggle between the two to work together should be challenging for both.

This religious book is rich in Christian history. It is a memoir in which the author recounts his life as an assistant curate as he faces the cards of life and overcomes obstacles in his relationships and experiences as a curate. Sounds interesting.
