Lilly's story sounds like a heartbreaking one. I don't usually enjoy romance stories but the sample reading left me wondering what happens to Lilly so I will be adding this one to my reading list. Fantastic review!

Set in 1940 Colorado, today's BOTD follows Lily, a young widow, as she searches to find happiness and her place in the world, while working to overcome past trauma and challenges. Readers who enjoy historical Christian romance novels filled with great characterization and lots of emotion are going to love this one! Thank you so much for the outstanding review! Great work! :-)

The characterization of Miss Lilly seems in splendid form, and it offers an inspirational message about how to tackle the challenging problems in one's life.

When a plot of a story revolves around a resolute character, you will always see a challenging, creative and excellent narrative. The review attests to this fact. Great job!

This was a great story with an incredible ending. I loved the fact that Lilly could think of the box because it was the ticket to her freedom. Lilly thought of many ways of defending herself from Bertram, Bobby and Tanner, and I feel as if with each thing she used she felt more powerful; the poor girl who was afraid of defending herself from her husband had the courage to attack and defend herself from three dangerous men.

I loved the fact that she confessed everything with not a sign of remorse, because what she did finally set her free. Plus, I loved how David did his job wrong at the end (like in the interrogation and curing these guys) and she went and did all that in the best way possible, showing that she was better in every aspect than the men she knew.

While I don't often read Christian fiction, this book seems very intriguing. I especially like the way you describe the main character. I also find the main themes you mentioned - such as forgiveness and trust - to be very important and worth reading about.

From the review i can already pick that the book is vere intriguing. I like how it covers so many issues which are still very much relatable even in the morden days. With that said i believe that even though it is dated in the 1940s it still has that morden feel which is what I always look for in romance novels. But i am not one to read books which associate Christianity or any religion with violence in anyway. So I don't see myself reading this book anytime soon. Thank you

I was hesitant to read much of the sample, but was mildly interested as I read on in to the chapters.

I don't normally have an interest in reading romance novels but this review tells of many nuances in the story that might be a interesting read. I read a few pages of the book on Amazon and it peaked my interest. This might be my next book to read.

I love how the author set the ambiance. It was clear, and right off the beginning I was intrigued “who the heck is this Levi Perkins?” I laughed at the part where the women prayed that the ground wouldn’t spit him back up, that was funny.
The details are well described, even though there are lots of characters to keep track with. However, I thought that the author told the events in an orderly and quite natural manner, so that you are immersed into the little town of Clayton right off the bat.
