I'm purely interested in this because it's a spin on the Jekyl and Hyde premise. However, your review makes it sound like much more. Thanks for the detailed review!

Seems like this book has quite a few elements that make up a good read. I'm always happy to read stories that paint women as complex multidimensional people.

This sounds like a book that I could definitely enjoy reading. I love crime and suspense books. The story seems interesting and I like the fact that it alternates between the present and the past. It seems to focus on characters too, which is great. You did a very good job on reviewing this book. I may consider reading it.

Great review. I really love an easy read now and again, especially if it's fast paced, exciting, and suspenseful with a touch of romance. Congrats to the author on a great review. Thanks for sharing.

The author gave vivid contrasting descriptions between suburban houses: with spiral staircases and beautiful kitchens, and dingy apartments: with smelly rooms and rust-stained sinks.
I have only read the sample but I also noted the great attention the author pays to detailed descriptions.
the author conveyed some ugly truth like: lechers were found not only on dirty streets and in cheap bars, they also held high positions in respectable institutions and lived in beautiful houses.
This did not come through to me in the sample (for me, "lecher" is an extremely negative label). Perhaps I would have to read the whole book to see this. This is not in my usual reading genre but your review helped me discover a new reading possibility.

This books sounds very interesting. Although you put it in this broad category, you did not actually mention in which specific genre you would place this book. Is it an actual mystery or a crime thriller?

Thanks for the review. It is great when a book can go into such detail but also include such detail about the characters and surroundings.
