This novel discusses the important theme of child abuse, which many families, indeed, cover up. I like the part that it seems that the characters find meaning to life, which can be quite difficult after going through harsh circumstances. And, how nice of the author to donate the proceeds to an entity that works with victims of abuse. Thanks for the review!

Thanks for this informative review. I'm always wary of books tackling child abuse, as they could go unnecessarily graphic just for the sake of eliciting sympathy for the character. I find that a little excessive sometimes, so I feel like this book is not for me.

I find this very interesting and creative. I think it will pick up because its focusing on an important issue that needs to ne addressed in the society.

Sound like a lot of heavy issues are addressed in this book. It’s always great when you can feel a strong connection to the characters, but I don’t think this one is for me. Thanks for the informative review!

Well I enjoy a book that tells me of the pains kids go through because it gives me a new energy to go out and protect these innocent and sweet souls. I will definitely read this.
