Past trauma as a common factor can make or break a couple. I can see how can that be an interesting connection. I like how you included things that can be improved and they are really great points. I like clarity in timelines as well. Great job with the review.

I like the characters of Emma and Mike. They sound very relatable. The repetitions mentioned can be tiresome but I think it is an interesting story if one can overlook that. Thank you for your review.

I don’t typically read romance, so I’m not sure if this book is for me. I’ll definitely try to read the sample just to see.

It sounds like a romantic book sprinkled with action. The couple seems to have a lot in common, and I wonder if they met for a reason? Perhaps their pasts are entwined somehow. I look forward to finding out. Thanks for the detailed review.

Romantic novels are usually not my cup of tea. This one, however, makes me want to find out more about Emma and Michael and their previous experiences

I like that the author directed the plot of the book towards self-discovery, learning about each other, but also overcoming various obstacles. I think it’s great that the narrative is from a first-person perspective that switches between Michael and Emma.

Hi!

Congratulations on BOTD!

I think this sounds like it would be an excellent romance novel. I like the dark stories and it does not sound like there are too many "mature" descriptions.

Thank you for pointing out the confusion about dates and repetitive nature. Those things are good to know because it will remind me to be patient when I'm reading. I do not mind long books, but that is also good for other readers to know.

Thank you for your review.

The characters, Michael and Emma, have a past that haunts them both. Emma blames herself for the loss of her family, and Michael hates himself for the choices he made while serving in the army. I would like to know how these two come together. Thanks for the great review.

I liked the way you helped readers see that the author spent time developing the characters and their past experiences so readers would understand their situation and empathize with their emotions. Great descriptions! Thanks for the recommendation.
