I took the one less traveled by,

I have to add Gabriel Emerson to the short list. He's got some vulnerabilities that he's working on but there's no doubt in my mind that he is by far, the smartest alpha I've ever read. I love this guy.
I do wish I'd read the books in order, though. I did read the Gabriel's Inferno series in order but I wish I hadn't read The Raven before Gabriel's Inferno series and I wish I'd read The Prince before I read The Raven.
The Raven was the first Sylvain Reynard book I'd ever read and Gabriel was in it. I just didn't know him and after that, I wanted to know him. I wanted to see what made him tick and I wanted to know if he was as bad as the vampire thought he was. Enter Gabriel's Inferno. I've been hooked ever since.
That vampire in The Raven, William York is his name, is a pretty good alpha, too.

I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

What is grief, if not love persevering?
Grief is just love with no place to go.

It's difficult for me to just pick one alpha out of so many out there, but I particularly enjoy Shelly Laurenston's books and all the alpha males she has in them. They are all mostly paranormal romances but the shifters are all different. There are wolves, bears, tigers, and more. Those males make me howl *wink*
