Modern Romance books aren't my genre as it is, I can read classics, but just seeing words "betrayed, abandoned, and abused" in description make me anxious to put it aside in a hurry and never remember again. Apologies, I will have to pass the book, but still congratulations on BOTD!

This book is an emotional novel that illustrates the life of Lily. Her father died and unable to get a job she was stuck with getting married to a husband who constantly maltreated her and is obsessed with money.

Lilly's ordeal with her marriage is unfair. I hope she gets a good ending. Can't wait to find out what will happen to her. Excellent review!

This review recommends it to romance, historical fiction And Christian lovers. I was initially interested in the plot till the time Lilly got out of abusive marriage. But religious beliefs and healing aspect did not appeal to me. This is not my area of interest. Congrats on BOTD.

A story of love, suffering and redemption. Widowed young, married off to Levi, a cruel and vengeful man for the wrong reasons, Lilly had to contend with loneliness and fear. She suffered domestic violence which is still a problem now. Yet inspite of her mothers death and fathers duties far away, she perseveres through faith and help to the helpless she got to meet. The story shows there is hope after darkness. It provides a lesson in perseverance, forgiveness and tenacity. A touching story that makes one believe in the possibility of healing after pain.

That Levi character was top notch, I hope Lilly gets her rightful inheritance and finds joy and happiness.
And I love this kind of stories which are filled sorrowful and painful tragedies, and love the plots being used in the story.

This novel seems to include a lot of drama around Lilly, the protagonist. This character represents a fighter woman who recovers from many adversities and heals emotionally and spiritually. It looks suitable for those who like romance novels.
