I am half way through this book and have completed the first novelette "There's Something About Christmas." Unfortunately, I was not making notes but distinctly remember two places where a preposition was omitted, making the sentence incomplete or awkward. I think these occur about three-fourths of the way through this novelette. If anyone else experienced the same thing, please post a response. Thanks!

I've finished reading this book. The second novelette is "Trouble for Christmas." It's a cute enough story. The author uses a wrap-around style, i.e. and introduction of the present, a romance novel of events in the past, and the final wrap-around that ties the reader back to the present time.

I noticed that both female characters in these stories exhibit highly emotional, irrational behavior. Frankly, I think this type of depiction is overused in society, especially in real-life gossip circles, and I'd like to see portrayals of strong, emotionally balanced women who hold a higher vision than falling in love and having a family. While love and family are important, there are also problems facing the global world that could be addressed as the basis for a plot.

Both stories had some questionable sentences that could have been improved editorially.
