The story follows the life patter of Alejandro Eduardo Martinez. He runs a worldwide mob empire. He goes by ”El Diablo”. Alejandro is such a complex character. You will see it in his actions and his relationship with Lexi. Which you'll find yourself rooting for, and getting frustrated over their scenes together. In most fictional books, you get to witness the main character going through drastic changes and self-development. In this book, you wouldn't. M.Robinson couldn't get any more realistic with this story. Either it was with the main characters or life events. Each and every single moment of it will make sense to you. In the end, you will get your mind blown by the plot twist. Which will take you back to the starting point. It's heartbreaking, devastating and unforgettable.

Gosh, I love this book. The author did an excellent job. While reading it I was so emotionally invested in it. I was at the edge of my seat till the end.

Though I love Alejandro, Lexi is my favorite character. She is such a strong and resilient person, unlike the meek heroines, one usually comes across in mafia romances. The author did such a great job with the characters and I couldn't help to shed tears for them. If anyone has any recommendations for books like El Diablo, please let me know as it is hands down my favorite mafia romance.
