Review: The Professional: Part 1 is the first novel (or part of a novel)I've ever read by Kresley Cole and let me just say, Ms. Cole you've made a new fan of me for life! This story is amazing! Natalie is such a strong and witty leading lady. I immediately felt drawn to her. Her funny remarks like "this is the tits" had me laughing throughout the story. I was so glad that although Natalie is supposed to be a virgin, Cole definitely doesn't make her a shy or reserved character. She owns her sexuality and it catches Aleksandr by surprise in some very interesting positions.
Aleksandr, the Siberian, is hot! Even when he's trying his best to brush off Natalie's lustful glances. The chemistry between the two is definitely palpable and it kept me hooked until the very end. Cole piqued my curiosity with Aleksandr. We definitely need more of him in Part II. Cole does a wonderful job setting up the relationship between Natalie's father and Aleksandr. It will be interesting to see how their relationship pans out when Aleksandr and Natalie take their attraction to the next level.
Overall, I loved Part 1 of the Game Maker series! Kresley Cole does a wonderful job bringing the culture of Russia to life. It was fun learning new words/sayings in Russian. It made the story that much more authentic. I'm so glad that Cole doesn't leave readers on too much of a cliff hanger, but I have to say, I can't wait to see what happens next!
*I'm not a fan of serials, but this one is a must read!
