In the Reality of Our Dreams by Charles Glenn Rippy Jr is a romantic story a grandfather tells to his granddaughter. It is the story of a poor farm boy named Thomas Clary, who falls in love with the richest girl in town, Hadley-Claire Hamric. Hadley-Claire is a beautiful blonde girl whose parents want her to go to New York City and become an actress. The parents do not want her to waste her life on a poor farmer. Thomas and Hadley-Claire declare their love for each other and decide to write a journal of their life story. Shortly thereafter, Thomas is drafted into WWI, and they are separated. What follows is a life of circumstances that neither one can control. Will their love survive? Will Thomas return from the war? What does fate have in store for the two cross-starred lovers? You will have to read the book to find out.

This book will take you back to the 1920s when toasters and refrigerators are invented. You will experience the Klu Klux Klan, battlegrounds in Italy, bootleggers, the rich and famous, deceptions, lies, and secrets. Among others, one life lesson you will learn is that sometimes you’re the bug, and sometimes you’re the boot. In other words, you have to pick your battles and know when to give in and when to take control. You will also observe that love is a fragile thing that needs to be nurtured to grow. Can this happen when circumstances beyond your control separate you?

I liked this book because there were lessons to be learned. For instance, everything will go wrong if you try to control every aspect of your life. You never know what tomorrow is going to bring. The author writes the book in a manner that makes you feel like you are there. At times you will be laughing, or crying, or crunched in fear while reading this book. There is nothing I disliked about this well-written, enjoyable book.

I recommend this book to anyone who loves a good romance. There is only one small instance each of profanity and sexual content. I don’t think there is anything in this book to offend anyone. The activities of the Klu Klux Klan are minimal and normal for the time period.

I only saw three minor typographical errors in the entire book, so believe it has been professionally edited. I gladly give it 4 out of 4 stars.

As I read the story, i was amazed by their kind of love I saw the sincerity, the passion and the kindness on them.Anyone can throw their opinion but Strong persons can ignore this
Same to the story I read they were being controlled by the destiny and people around them but Love wins.
