Laughing All the Way to the Bank by Gigi Spacola is a spicy romance novel. Regina “Gigi” Spacola has just graduated from Boston University. She is excited for her future. She is planning on attending a family graduation party hosted by her parents. After the family party, she has plans on attending a wilder party with her friends. After several tequila shots, she locks eyes with Jeremy Cotton, handsome classmate. Jeremy has asked her out in the past; however, she always avoided him because he had broken the hearts of several of her friends. Although she was attracted to Jeremy, she was determined to keep him at arm’s length to avoid heartbreak.

Gigi works at her uncle’s restaurant and continues to be one of his best waitresses. However, now that she has a college degree, she is looking for a more challenging position. Her friend, Emma, let her know that there are entry level sales positions available at her company. She offers to put in a good word for Gigi. Gigi is very driven to succeed and takes the interview process very seriously. Her personal life skyrockets when she begins dating a boy from a wealthy family who influences her taste in food and clothing. Her style changes drastically when he begins buying her new clothes to fit in with his friends and family.

This was an entertaining book from start to finish. Gigi is an interesting character. She’s smart and driven to succeed. Many readers will relate to the nervousness of the first job interview and the need to succeed in a new job. Her concerns about being prepared and professional in her position were realistic. What I liked most about the book was her outlook and drive to succeed. She seemed unflappable when something went wrong at work. It reminded me of graduating from college and getting my first job. The author did an excellent job of conveying the emotions she experienced when she quit her job with her uncle to start the next chapter in her life.

What I liked least about the book were the errors. There were more than ten errors in the book, so I don’t believe it was professionally edited. Also, the central focus is on her sex life. Although it is a romance novel and to be expected, it was the dominant theme in the book and very steamy at times. Readers interested in romance novels with very descriptive sexual situations will enjoy this book. Gigi and her boyfriend have sex in a variety of ways in various places. Sometimes the situations are humorous, like when the police were called due to the noise they were making in a parked car. Readers offended by detailed sexual situations should avoid this book.

Overall, this was an entertaining read. It is the first book in a series. After the last chapter, there are a few pages of the next book that will benefit readers interested in learning more about Gigi. This was a fun, light-hearted read that I thoroughly enjoyed. Readers who enjoy romance novels will likely enjoy this book. Due to the errors previously mentioned, I give this book a rating of 3 out of 4 stars.

Moderator note: The errors discussed in the review have since been corrected via a final round of editing.

It has a great plot. The title is also attractive and depicts that the book has a good sense of humor. I don't like the steamy erotic scenes but apart from that, the book is a good choice for reading.
