Madame Bovary VS Fifty Shades

I found out that Madame Bovary was on my daughter’s high school reading list so I thought let’s compare it to today’s scandal book, 50 Shades of Grey.
Madame Bovary is book with a very dishonorable content. The story is about a woman that deceives her husband. She takes his money to buy things she doesn't need and meets with other men under her husband’s nose. The 50 Shades of Grey on the other hand is a story about two people that learning to trust each other, to grow into better human being. They use sex to get to know each other which makes the story more appealing to some. I think that Madame Bovary’s behavior was more scandalous than what happened in 50 Shades of Grey.
