Hurry Home for Christmas (Connor Falls Romance Series) written by Robin Maderich was a wonderful holiday treat for me. Getting to read this book right before Christmas was like having an extra holiday gift delivered. Hurry Home for Christmas was a light romantic read and I loved every page. The novel delivered excellent characters, fun twists, references to classic literature, and a romance that every girl dreams of. I would give this novel a 4 out of 4 star rating.
The novel follows recently dumped (but not so heartbroken) Eve Noel Nolan on her journey home to Connor Falls for Christmas for the first time in years. After Eve experiences a break-up with her long term boyfriend she packs her stuff up to spend the holidays with her family in a small beautiful town devoted to Christmas. When Eve can’t sleep one of the first nights she’s back in her quaint little hometown, she runs outside for some fresh air only to be surprised by the stunningly handsome Jacob Marley. The novel really takes off after their first meeting and readers are swept away into an exciting romance. This novel delivers a heartwarming tale of our protagonist overcoming a great tragedy and truly sharing what the meaning of Christmas can be.
I found this novel wonderful for a myriad of reasons. I felt swept up in the story on every single page. This book was certainly well written and thought out. I can’t think of any details that seem to have been missing from the book and the reader gets to go through this beautiful journey with the main character. I may have especially liked this book because it was Christmas time as I was reading it, and anything that adds even a little more cheer to the holidays is welcome. This novel wasn’t terribly long, as most romance novels aren’t, but I appreciate that so much joy and love was packed into such a short story.
Additionally, I enjoyed the fact that this novel kept all of the romance suitable for all audiences. While love and romance transcended the pages, at no time was there any kind of explicit content that detracted from the story. I find it truly impressive that this novel was wonderful throughout without any explicit content. Though I do not often choose to read romance novels I found Maderich’s personal style to be charming and I am certainly enticed to read any other works she produces. I am excited to know that a work like this, which tells a lovely romantic story, exists and can be shared with just about anyone.
Hurry Home for Christmas was a great holiday read and I would gladly hand out this novel as a stocking stuffer next year to any of my friends. The novel is sweet, romantic, exciting, wonderful, and I may very well read it again next year during the holidays. I highly recommend this book to anyone who needs a little Christmas cheer and greatly hope my recommendation will be acted upon. Thank you dear author for sharing your book with me.
