New faces come into play, dangerous obstacles lay ahead and old faces emerge in this sometimes-boring overly detailed second installment of SM Reine's paranormal romance series, The Seasons of the Moon.

The summer is over. Rylie has been found. But her life is never going to be the same. She made her choice and now she must live with the consequences. Leaving everything that she loves behind, Rylie goes to live at the only place where she has left to go; her aunt Gwyn's Ranch. Being invisible and ignored is how she hoped to start over but her heightened senses, uncontrollable anger and thirst for blood will threaten her very existence. A family of hunters is on her trail and the new moon is only two days away. Approached by an old friend who only wants to help, Rylie agrees to let him. But the plan backfires and puts both of them in even more danger then they ever imagined was possible.

Not to say that it wasn't a good book but it wasn't as compelling as the first book in the series. The story lines were drawn out to the point where it made reading twenty chapters feel like fifty. It just wasn't an attention grabber.
