Love for Two is a Romance novel about Adrianna - a woman in her early 30s, who starts two casual relationships with two men, only to end up falling in love with both. Seeing as neither seems to want more in the near future, she decides to continue the relationships with both. It gets problematic when the past she’s been denying starts catching up with her, and in the middle of chaos, Adrianna understands that maybe both men wanted more than she originally thought.

The first guy, Jake, is a personal trainer. Adrianna meets him when her friend, Beth, recommended him. They start flirting and soon enough they’re dating each other, after Jake made it clear he is not interested in anything serious at the moment. Adrianna calls him ‘Bad Boy’ because of his looks.

The other guy is Luke, a celebrity actor. Adrianna was hired as a make-up artist for a new movie he stars in. he has the reputation of a player, and Adrianna knew not to expect anything exclusive when she started having a relationship with him as well.

The book wasn’t horrible, but it was far from perfected. However, it is worth mentioning that this appears to be the author’s first published work.

There isn’t a lot of plot in this story, and the little it has is nothing new – it’s the typical love triangle. The writer clearly tried to add plot using a complicated childhood of the main character, only to fail miserably. The main character remained just as impossible to relate to as before, and her friend only encourage Adrianna’s behavior by showing how surprised she is that a guy won’t leave her after he found out about something that happened over 15 years ago.

Another problem in the book was the lack of romance. Most interactions between the main character and two love interests were skipped right to the bed scenes. It is hard to see how she fell in love with either of them when the main thing you know about both of them is that they are really good at sex. As for the sex, despite it not being too daring, it is clear the writer was influenced by Fifty Shades of Grey while writing them. The writing was mostly amateur during these parts. The exceptions were when the writing seemed to be influenced by an anatomy book instead. The lack of romance and the plenty sex scenes made me seriously think the characters had some sort of unhealthy obsession. By the time the last and most far-fetched sex scene ended, I was positive they should all go to therapy.

A good thing was that the book was fast paced. For this type of book, anything slower or faster could have ruined the book, but the writer seemed to have managed that part quite well.

This book was the first of a series. The ending of this book was quite predictable, but I can’t comment on the ending of the plot as a whole, as it doesn’t end in this novel. The first chapter of the second novel was included in the end of the book, and made things a little confusing (which was the only time the book confused me).

In conclusion, this is a good choice for a light reading. Don’t expect too much from the plot, keep in mind that this is more of an erotic book than a romance one, and it will be a nice way to spend your time. I would recommend it to those who love the cliché love triangle story who want to read some erotica as well. 2 out of 4 stars.
