[Following is an official OnlineBookClub.org review of "a stranger is in my bedroom" by john gardner.]
Most of the time, we come across new people who are total strangers, but something about him/her seems to captivate us. Without checking his or her background, we are already blinded by love. This is an intriguing and fascinating romance and crime thriller about a woman who is blinded by love with a total stranger with multiple personalities.
John Gardner's book, A stranger in my bedroom is 180 pages long and divided into 24 chapters. Dana Milles is a beautiful girl in her thirties. She returned to work after some days off due to a severe cold with the news that the company was about to be sold. She met Dave William and tried to talk him out of the idea, but it fell on deaf ears. Dana was self-made and had a lot of inherited properties from her grandfather. She wasn't concerned about herself but about the workers that were going to be laid off. It was an opportunity to visit her mother and home after so many years. She planned it as a surprise. Unfortunately, she was also shocked and surprised to see a guy of her age in her room, a total stranger. The fun of this book started here, as Dana had started to dig deep into Tommy's life, and a lot of strange things started happening. Who is Tommy and what are his plans for the Milles family? Catch this fun in the book.
It's been a long time since I read this genre of book. I was so caught up in the twists and suspense of this book. I don't remember taking a break from the start to the finish of this book. This was a well-drafted plot with an amazing storyline. The book's title was so alluring that I couldn't just skip it; I had to stop and go through the content. Seeing how interesting the contents were, I couldn't help but get the copy and read it. Dana is my best and most interesting character. Her inquisitive nature saved a lot of people, and I loved how well-developed her character was. The author deserves credit for coming up with such a catchy story.
However, the book has very poor editing and I had a very difficult time reading it due to the numerous errors I found in it. Also, some sentences were so unclear with a lot of grammatical blunders. There was also some misspelling of the characters' names, which confused me as a new character. The book also started poorly; the table of content and chapters should be on a separate page. Finally, the book's title wasn't capitalized well. I would suggest a re-editing of this book, so as to fix the issues talked about above. Due to the negatives, I would deduct two stars and rate this book two out of four stars.
I strongly recommend this book to lovers of romance and crime thrillers.
