Book review: Beautiful Oblivion by Jamie McGuire

I know that Beautiful Disaster/Walking Disaster series was a great hit so I decided to go forth and read the next book of "those Maddox boys".
This book is based on Trenton and Camille, both of whom had appearances in the first books. I really liked Trent's character, not only is he a hot-head (like his younger brother Travis) but he's the smooth talking charmer that you really can't help but like (Olive is just adorbs))! I really like how he tries to control his angry whereas Travis is just uncontrollable at certain times. It's just sad to say that I found that the author didn't really focus on his problems with driving (did anyone feel this way...?)
I also felt that Cami was way too much like Abby. Cami (like Abby) is the girl next door with daddy/family issues and is beautiful in that understated way that attracts Trent. I don't know how I feel about her bouncing between two guys and there was just a whole lot of miscommunication that could have been avoided if she was honest with Trent, and Trent actually took the time to listen to her (after the airport). I feel like miscommunication might be a vehicle for the author to start fights and problems for her series... The entire California scene was just so gross and uncomfortable to read...gross!!!
Unlike in Walking Disaster we were able to see into the future of Travis and Abby's relationship, and as a reader it was so satisfying. In this book, I felt like there were too many unresolved issues (like if Cami's father would really straighten his act or not)
Did anyone else feel like we were getting another perspective of Travis/Abby's story? Like I think it was nice that they made their appearances but I felt it was a little unnecessary.
Finally, I hated Reagan from the very beginning and till the very end. There was no real reason for her to act like a big, bad biotch! She has two loving parents, a job, school...like why is she so mean? What does it do for her? To be honest, I did not like her ending and she shouldn't have a second chance.
Thoughts?
