Susan Bliler Skin Walker Series

This series has me pretty torn. The bad parts are the lack of polish editing and that sometimes the alpha males cross lines when they are trying to get their angels (fated mate) to accept them. The basic premise is that the skin walkers are shapeshifters of varying degrees of skill who fight the Megalya, vampire-esque creatures that want to take their abilities and kill them, and have concentrated themselves into two bases in Montana so that they can thrive. Beyond basic editing, the story is very well written and the alpha male characters are very engaging as they struggle with women who want to be treated as equal partners and males who might try and take their "woman". There is plenty of drama and although I might struggle with how much I am in love with the series at time, I still buy every single book as soon as they are published.
