I've been on a romance reading fetish of late but I prefer clean romances yet with the deep passion of love without such intimate details; this was such a book, so for anyone looking for a decent romance I'd recommend this book.
She delves a bit into history for those lovers of historic romances, this particular book is in reference to Napoleon's reign and his dominance over Spain.
Placing a proud, strong American woman, Miss Burton in proper England where she feels trapped and overwhelmed by the proper mannerisms and the controlling idealisms of the English all the while she is being used to find a rich husband to save her family from financial ruin that she would prefer no part in.
She meets a Spanish Prince who hides his true identity from her when first they meet and together they form a forbidden bond
Such a wonderful story.
