I love Eve Langlais' works, they always make me laugh out loud (sometimes getting strange looks from my family). I think of her as a "feel good" author, like Janet Evanovich - you just feel good after reading one of her books.

"Wolf's Capture" is book 4 in the Kodiak Point series. Kodiak Point, Alaska is a very small town populated by shifters of many different species (including a caribou and a moose), and is chock full of eccentric residents. It's under attack by an unknown enemy, and with each book we get closer to learning who is attacking and why.

This is a formulaic romance, and as with all her books it has a strong heroine, true love, happily ever after and an alpha hero with a massive ego that causes him to be hoist by his own petard. Repeatedly.

The dialogue between all the characters, especially between the romantic couple, is hysterical, as is the hero's internal dialogue. It does contain graphic violence and graphic sex so one wouldn't think it would be funny, but it is. Since it's funny, one wouldn't also expect it to be steamy, but it is. Because of the graphic violence, one wouldn't expect it to be "light", but it is.

This series is for adults only and I look forward to reading the next book in the series.
