Greetings all,
This is my first time leaving a post as a member of this group. Here is my short review of "The Secret Life of Violet Grant" by Beatriz Williams.
The measure of a truly good book, is that it makes you forget time and space. The phone rings and you don't answer. The dishes pile until the cupboards are bare. Your family is forced to eat leftovers or take out because you don't have time to cook. And when you're finally finished reading, your are wishing for just one more page, even though you are basking in it's after glow. Thank you Beatriz Williams for "the Secret Life of Violet Grant", a most satisfying novel. Just like her previous works this book will keep you on the edge of your seat, as two stories, one past and one present unfold in an emotional tale full of hidden secrets, forbidden passion and desperate tragedy. A perfect summer book that is guaranteed to leave a smile on your face!
