"Me Before You" by Jojo Moyes (RT)

I didn't think I was the kind of person who would like "Me Before You".
I could take or leave romantic novels, especially romance novels set in the U.K. Hugh Grant springs immediately to my annoyed mind.
But after a long night of simply not being able to put this book down I had determined exactly what kind of person this book WOULD be for.
"Me Before You" is for people who:
Have ever felt love in their hearts for any other human being
Have a sense of humor
Have ever been unemployed and a little desperate
Have a family that tends to grate on their nerves
Have had to deal with a disability
Have had to deal with a traumatic event
Used to be someone "completely different"
Have one person they can really confide in
Have felt excluded
Have felt like they are starting anew
Have felt as if they were at their wits' end.
I realized, as I finally closed this book, with my leaky face splattering the back cover, that I was all of these people. In fact, I'm not sure there is anyone out there who can't identify with at least a few of these things.
So, if "Me Before You" is a romance novel I guess that they're for me after all. I'm shocked. And I can't recommend this book more.
