I love Stacy Reid books! When her first book came out,The Duke's Shot Gun Wedding I knew she was an author with a lot of talent and potential. Now many books later Eternal Darkness is my favorite paranormal romance hands down!
Princess Saieke is trying to escape a blood oath in hopes to save herself and her people. When she tries to escape to another realm herself and two people with her come under attack and she is forced to seek refuge in a realm loathed and feared by all, The Darkan Realm, a land where others not born of the land can see where they are going.
Drac, a Darkan, rescues Saieke and with his king strikes a bargain in return for her continued protection. With five days to spend learning the people, Saieke comes to realize they are not as bad as everybody ever believed. In fact they are very similar to her own people. But Saieke given the five days, has hatched a plan to seduce Drac. In those five days a bond is created that can never be undone or ignored.
After the time is up and she is forced to return to her own people. When she returns she is met with hostility from her own people of import and those of her betrothed. As the story comes to a close, Saieke and Drac are forced to make their relationship known and in doing so create an unexpected Ally between the two realms.
I enjoyed this book greatly. As I said in the beginning I really enjoy reading Stacy Reid's books. The erotica of this book was kinky in the vampiric way so if you are not into the vampire sucking blood type of sex then I would not recommend this book to you. If you find that kind of thing appealing then I would definitely recommend this book to you!
