Safe Haven by Nicholas Sparks is one of my favorite books that he has written. It is about Katie who is trying to start over in the small town of Southport North Carolina. She is so afraid that her dark past will catch up with that she doesn't try to make any friends. As time passes she begins to let her guard down and becomes friends with her neighbor Jo and Alex, a widower with two small kids. Katie becomes attached Alex and his kids and begins falling in love with him. This book is beautifully written and a must read for anyone who loves a good romance novel.

Katie definately grabs your attention in this novel. She lets you in her life in the beginning and lets you see the past that haunts her until it catches up to her and her newly family that she wants but is afraid to have. This book is amazing. It lets you open up your heart up right with Katie. Great book. A must read.

It was a great book. I loved the twist in it as well. (Don't worry no spoilers from me

). I did prefer the book to he movie. You could definitely connect to the characters better. Would definitely recommend.

I always enjoy his books, but with kindle unlimited I have not had a chance. I did watch the movie, and it was a beautiful story. I'm sure the novel added layers and complexity to the characters.

I also liked this book, as I found Katie very relatable. Of course, Nicholas Sparks never seems to disappoint.

I loved this! I'm glad Katie escaped when she did, she gave inspiration to women who go through that kind of abuse everyday. She probably felt useless, whenever her husband would beat her, like she wasn't doing worth anything. But, I'm glad she found a man like Alex who loves her for her, understands her the most more then herself and cares for her. This is a timeless romantic story. She slowly starts to let her guard down the more she spends time with Alex and forms a bond with his daughter. These two were made for each other.

I enjoyed this book! I've been a Nicholas Sparks fan for a while, but I loved the twist when I read it. Watching the movie was a different experience because I already knew and could see the signs. But it's good.

Thanks!

I really enjoyed this book, too. I also really liked the movie. That's one thing I really like about Nicholas Sparks; a lot of his books have been made into movies. I personally like reading more, but it's interesting to read the book and then watch the movie and see where the differences are.
You mentioned, too, that this is one of your favorite books of his. Have you read The Guardian? I think that one's my favorite. I highly recommend reading it if you haven't already.

This is a great novel, i loved the twist at end, didn't see it coming. Prefered the book way more than film although film was watchable
