Come Fly With Me by Sandi Perry is considered a romance novel; it also had a big mystery part as well. Allison Ross is the daughter of the CEO of RossAir Industries, Daniel Ross. While on vacation, Allison learns that her father was in a bad car accident and on life support. She rushes back to New York to be near him as the family decides to stop life support. Allison then goes with her mother to the lawyer’s office to have her father’s will read after the burial. There, she finds out that the summer house in Maine that she thought her father had sold was being given to her along with the responsibility to find a new suitable CEO for RossAir Industries. He left her with a list of possible candidates, which included herself. Allison already owns and runs an art gallery so her plate was full. The police department also decide they think somebody had played a part in the accident and they are investigating it as a murder. Allison works on finding a suitable CEO for her father’s company and in the process may have found love.

I loved the mystery and romance in this book. I didn’t want to quit reading and was sad the book was over, because I wanted to know what happened to the characters. The book was well written and I was able to connect with the characters and started cheering for certain people. The murder investigation kept me guessing on who actually played a role in the accident.

Something I didn’t like was that some details were left out. Some of the chapters were disconnected with the one before it causing a little confusion, especially if I put it down and picked it back up the next day. Also, the timeline felt a little off because of a lack of details. At one point, it was 7 months after the accident and I thought it was only a couple weeks because they hadn’t kept us updated on the timeline through the story. I had a hard time keeping up with all the characters in this book. There were so many characters, both past and present, that kept popping up which made it hard to keep them straight on how they knew the main characters.

I rate this book a 3 out of 4 stars. The story was interesting and suspenseful which made me want to keep reading even when I ran out of pages. I was able to relate with the characters as if they were real people that I knew. Relating with the characters had me silently rooting for certain ones as they came into Allison’s life. I didn’t give it a 4 because I felt like there were too many characters and that some of the chapters felt disconnected from the one previous.

Come Fly With Me would be a great book for anybody looking for a mystery or romance novel. There are sections of both mystery and romance throughout the book.

Good review! Sounds like I might enjoy this book, as I like mystery, but enjoy some romance mixed in. Thanks!
