Brigette Manie has an ability to develop characters who are true to life and makes for a wonderful story in her book The Man Beside Her (Pioneers in the Pulpit Book 1). One of my favorite quotes from the book. "We can disagree, We will not be disagreeable." When new pastor Diane McPherson comes to town the board of elders wants nothing more than to make it their job to get her to leave. They find out soon enough that will be next to impossible. Diane is not only a great pastor, but she has a way of bringing the truth to each and every situation. The author is a true wordsmith and understands how to develop a great story. Keeping the reader involved to the very end. Throughout this story we find that God is always at work in each and every relationship. It was an excellent read and I look forward to reading more of the books in this series. Well written.
