Waiting For Him, written by Samantha Cole, is the third novel in the Trident Security series. This novel can be classified as an erotica BDSM novel but does also contain a significant amount of action sure to keep the adrenaline pumping.
Ben “Boomer” Michaelson has his world turned upside down when he has a client request his services for the security company he works for. When he sees who is waiting, he is shocked to see the woman who disappeared from his life 12 years prior. Katerina “Kat” Maier has spent the last 12 years in the Witness Protection Program but no longer feels their efforts to keep her safe are working. She decides to seek out the only man she ever trusted with both her life, and her heart. Ben is shocked and hurt to see Kat but agrees to help her because she was the only woman who was ever able to claim his heart as well. The two of them embark on a whirlwind journey of loving, fighting and running for their lives while Ben tries to learn about why Kat disappeared all those years ago.
This story held me captivated from start to finish between the great story and the witty characters. Kat may be small and quiet but she stands up for herself and can offer up some sass when need be. Ben may be a romantic gentleman but he can show his rough and tough side when it comes to protecting those he loves. The author does a great job at capturing all sides of the characters and even the different sides of the supporting characters. Each individual character had something to offer the story as well. It felt like the author put a great effort into putting together the details of the story and the characters to make them extensive and unique. This may be the third book in the series, but it definitely stands out on its own.
I found it hard to put this book down. The author put forth a great deal of effort to create a story that was exhilarating and heart pumping. The characters were great, the story was action packed, and the romance was on fire. The story had a great flow and was able to effectively bounce between past and present without getting the reader lost.
I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. While the book may be classed as a BDSM erotica, it offers up plenty of action to keep you on your feet. I recommend this book to anyone looking for a little action mixed in with their steamy romance. I also look forward to continuing on this series.
