[Following is the official OnlineBookClub.org review of "RedDress Two Wives" by RA Winter.]

RedDress Two Wives is the third book in R.A Winter's "A Kiowa in Love" series. It falls into the chick-lit and romance genres. This installment follows the romantic life of Sarah as she falls in love with John and the antics of Grandfather's plans for his grandchildren.

Sarah is Redhorse's sister and Painted Girl's assistant. She never understood nor accepted the traditions of her Kiowa heritage, but that soon begins to change. Sarah joins Painted Girl on a business trip to New York City. There she meets with John, the man she has been flirting with over the phone, and they begin a rather raunchy affair. After the girls return home, Grandfather continues his plans to encourage his granddaughters to follow the right path (the one he planned). However, Painted Girl has discovered his plans and the two women devise a plan of their own. All kinds of mischief occurs making this a hilarious story to read.

I have read the previous two novels in the series and remain completely in love with the series and author. Winter continues to follow the theme of following the romantic side of a relationship, and the process of two characters falling in love. Though this novel does have some steamy scenes in it, Winter remains classy in her descriptions. One thing I loved about this book is Sarah's inner emotions and the need for acceptance. She is a character that would do anything to keep the man she loves interested even if it includes someone like Urusula (you need to read the book to discover that scene). This element adds relatability to Sarah's character and makes the readers hope she gets the one thing she desires most.

Grandfather remains a favorite character as he continues to meddle in the lives of his grandchildren, but in this book he invests in the help of John's grandmother! R.A has a way of bringing her characters to life and making them feel as if they are a part of the reader's life as well. I could easily imagine Grandfather as my own, or Painted Girl as a sister. There are elements I still wonder a little on, like is Dingle Grandfather's spirit animal or just a very cunning cat? Every scene with Dingle is hilarious, well almost every scene will have readers laughing out loud! The style and tone of each book has the feeling that it correlates with each main character . RedDress Two Wives is filled with mischief and hilarious antics from everyone, which seems to fit with Sarah's wild personality.

Anyone who enjoys chick-lit, romance novels would enjoy this entire series, not just this novel. I would give this book a 4 out of 4. I highly recommend this novel!

While I enjoy romance, I don't like reading hardcore descriptions. It takes away from the story and makes it seem like the storyline is only a vehicle for the porn parts. And congratulations to R.A. Winter on the glowing review!

Her other two books (Little Sparrow, and Painted Girl) are the same way focusing more on the relationship building than physical stuff.

It sounds like a good book. Would someone be able to read it as a standalone though or would they have to read the other two books first to understand?

You can read it as a stand alone, but I recommend reading the other two as well. The novel focuses on Sarah, but a few things tie in with previous two novels.
