Hot! Fast paced action! Filled with literally laugh out loud moments! All around excellent book! What can I say? I LOVE Gail's books. She is my go to author when I want something funny, action packed and sexy… with smart sassy heroines and delicious alpha heroes. Just My Luck is my favorite book by her so I was excited when she chose to write Just Desserts. The hero and heroine are the same. To answer another reviewer...(on Amazon) Yes, this book has some flashbacks (which I guesstimate take up less then 25% of the book) but to the majority of readers (who haven't had the pleasure of reading Just My Luck, which is out of print) these flashbacks are necessary to give a framework to the story and let us know about Kaylee’s and Talree’s history. ( FYI, I estimate this book is about 25% longer than her last book which more than makes up for the flashbacks.) I started reading Gail's books with Vexing Voss. I fell in love with her writing and hunted her down on the internet. I spent the next several months entering every contest she had, trying to win the first 2 Coletti books which are out of print. (She does a lot of contests.) With fanatical persistence I was very lucky and won them. After reading them she became one of my favorite authors. I stayed up until 3am reading Just Desserts last night and am exhausted today. It was worth every second of sleep I lost. EVERY SECOND! I woke my husband up several times LOL. Talking about LOL...There is a scene with Bey, Soulet and Hank that I loved. You’ll know it when you read it. I also loved Thor. Kaylee’s baby. He was much more like a precocious three year old than a new born. Also, the way the Queen was handled couldn't get any better. First thing I did this morning is start reading it again. You know a book is good when right after you finish it you want to read it again. You know it is excellent when it still makes you laugh the second time around. It has knocked Vexing Voss out of second place in my list of favorite books by Gail Koger. LOVED it! ADORED it! Wonderful addition to the Coletti Warlords series.
