This book, Shattered Glass Hearts, by Micheal Davis is a short story about Arabella, a young girl who found herself in an uncomfortable situation of grace to grass. She comes across Charles, a man from a wealthy family, and things kick off between them. Arabella's family suddenly resurfaces in her life, and they connive with the Moretti family for a share in the assets left behind by her father if they get her to sign them off. Faced with pressure from her family, Arabella relies on Charles to stand by her side. However, there may be further resistance from his own family and surprises from unknown places. Would Charles be able to get his family to accept her?

The author took the time to edit this book. I liked that this book was exceptionally well edited. It was a smooth read, and the lack of errors is appreciated. Also, the author left me in suspense at the end of the book. I am curious to know what was next for Arabella and Charles after the incident. The suspense at the end was compelling, and I am looking forward to a sequel to this book. The author made this book revolve around a few people, and I appreciated the fact that I did not have to deal with so many characters. Finally, this book was a very short read, and I read it in one sitting.

However, I think the storyline had a lot of obvious gaps and time jumps that were not properly reconciled. For instance, in the altercation between Charles and Arabella's brother, William, Charles was not there at the start of the conversation but seemed to already know who William was and why he was there at the time. Also, so many things felt unreal. An instance is how Charles, who had not revealed his true identity to Arabella, comfortably introduced himself with his family name in front of Williams out of the blue.

In addition, this book has some contradictions. In Chapter 23, from the interaction that started with Charles asking, "Arabella... is pregnant?" and Catherine nodding in affirmation, it would suggest it was Catherine who informed him about the pregnancy. However, in the next chapter, we were told Charles had stumbled on the result in the trash bin of their shared bathroom. This is an example of such contrasts in this book. Another example is that at the beginning of the first chapter, Arabella seems to view Charles as a stranger when she is "torn between her desperate situation and her fear of trusting this stranger. Further into the book, the plot changed, and Arabella seemed to have known him when they were younger and was even on a revenge mission.

These contradictions made the book appear to be without a definite plot. I was saddened because the story itself is compelling, but the delivery seemed to have a lot of issues. Perhaps the author will reconcile these in a sequel, if any, but for now, I would rate this book 3 out of 5 stars. I recommend this book to people who enjoy romance fiction.

This story somehow related to one of my cousin anyway , the characters lack depth and fail to evoke genuine empathy, making it difficult to become invested in their struggles. otherwise its good to read

The title was creative, I give it that. I understand your let-downs about it. You gave a fair rating. I liked your review.

Arabella and Charles are followed in "Shattered Glass Hearts" as they deal with family scheming and unforeseen developments. Despite having tight editing and suspense, the novel has plot holes, unbelievable scenes, and contradictions.

Going from grace e to grace is not a pleasant situation. However , trying to walk her way through it makes Arabella a courageous lady which makes me like the book
The books is definitely a lovely book
