Cottonwood Kate
By Nathaniel Wake

A delightful story by a talented author. Nathaniel Wake is a master storyteller, able to weave a story with characters who have the attitude and passion to make them real. The story of Cottonwood Kate takes place in the old west and shows the story of Kate, who loses her parents on their way into town after supplies. The parents had left Kate to see after the animals on the farm. The sheriff comes to let Kate know that her father was dead and her mother could not be found. The sheriff gives Kate a choice to sell the farm and the land and live with her aunt, or get married. Kate chooses neither and builds her own place. When Cork meets up with Kate and offers his help to her. She eventually falls in love with him. Little does she know that he is hiding secrets. She also finds out that she has a step-brother Shaluth. Together they go to search for their mother. I enjoyed reading this book. Rated it a solid 5 stars. I look forward to reading more novels by Nathaniel Wake. The story is exciting and leaves you wanting more. Well written.
