The Oil Prince
By Kate Goldman
Cultures clash in this romance novel as the two main characters Emily Gibson and Prince Basil Tadros work together to build a relationship in both their personal lives and work careers. Basil’s father is the king and together with his wife wants to find a bride for Basil. He has other ideas and they include Emily. Basil is arrogant and proud. He is also conceited, rude and sometimes appears lazy. Basil’s father has threatened him to take away his title if he does not help in working in the family business. I found this book to be an interesting read. The author has a unique talent in writing in this genre. Throughout the story she shows the reader how conflict is resolved by love. Well written and the author get better with each book that she writes. I have enjoyed reading other works by this author. My favorite character in this story is Emily’s grandmother. She really adds to this story by her interaction with both Emily and Basil. Read this one to see how two very different people from different cultures fall in love and overcome all conflicts. I rated this one a solid 5 stars.
