The Settler’s Sons Book 1

This story by Nathaniel Wake takes place in Sleeping Bear Valley. Told in the style of an old western. The author’s talents are related through his characters. Jeffrey Bennett and his three boys Justin, Luke, and Dylan arrive and build a town after a long wagon train trip. While out hunting the men come across a cave that is an Indian sacred burial ground. One or two of the men steal some sacred items found in the cave. This brings trouble on the town. One of my favorite lines from the story. “She was doing everything a woman could do to make a man forget why he’d come to town.” I rated this story a 5 star rating. Well written. I look forward to reading more by this author. The author does a great job with showing the reader the story through well developed characters. Looking forward to the next book in this series.
