The Forgiving Bride by author Emma Kingsly is a short sweet novella. Ms. Kingsly's heroine and mail order bride, Sarah Woods, is a young widow running for her life and what she hopes is security and safety. Simon Stone hopes to find a companion, peace, and a helpmate. Can you run from your past or will the past follow? Can forgiveness come to these two or will they botch this second chance for happiness?
THE FORGIVING BRIDE, STORY LINE:
After the death of her no good husband, Sarah Wood is alone in the world with a small child, Ally. When visited by his low down criminal cohort, Sarah must decide the course of her life. As a result of his threats, she answers the advert placed by Simon Stone for a mail order bride. Although, Sarah is a Godly woman, she has insecurities which will follow her to Wyoming.

Come along with Simon and Sarah as they journey through secrets, mishaps, and danger.
THE FORGIVING BRIDE, CHARACTERS, PLOTTING, AND DEVELOPMENT:
Although, this is a short novella, I enjoyed the story-line. I found this book a clean, sweet, entertaining read which held my attention throughout. The story-line was interesting and Ms. Kingsly's writing style was clear. That said, I felt the background of the main characters could be fleshed out more; I would have liked a more in-depth look into their past.
Author Emma Kingsly created characters which were faith-based, yet, demonstrated as Christians we do things which are not Godly and how hard forgiveness is to give. As a result her story-line was realistic and her characters felt real.
The plot was interesting as Ms. Kingsley did not reveal all the secrets at once. As a result, I read this book straight through. The writing style was clean and clear; the pace was correct for the length of the book. Ms. Kingsly provided a villain you will love to hate, and a sigh worthy hero.
In concluding this review, I found this book an entertaining relaxing read. It held my attention and provided an escape into the west, mail-order brides, and the problems each face in marrying a stranger.
THE FORGIVING BRIDE, RECOMMENDATION: 4 STARS
In conclusion, I would not hesitate to recommend this book. Although, a short novella, it provides everything needed for an entertaining and enjoyable escape. I look forward to reading more of Ms. Kingsly's works.
Finally, I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest book review. Book reviews of any novel are dependent on the book review author’s opinion; consequently, all book reviews on line under my name and on my blog are my opinion.
