Hold Me Close was on my Pinterest recommendations one day so I thought I'd check it out. I'm not sure if I'm getting picky when it comes to the genre, it seems like I've read a bunch of romance duds lately. Anyway, it took awhile to get into this most recent one. The characters, Heath and Effie, have a horrible start to their relationship and there's a strong feeling of hopelessness throughout the book. It's hard to say much without giving everything away. If you like some erotic scenes served with a generous helping of despair, this book might be for you.
