Damsel in Danger

Review by: Karen Massee
This book was an enjoyable read with romance, action and adventure, all taking part. Brinley, an elementary school teacher, becomes involved in a murder case when her address is found clutched in a murdered man’s hand. She has no idea who this man is and her neighbor Jason, an ex DEA agent, jumps in to offer his assistance in helping her find the answers she seeks. As the situation turns dangerous, Jason offers his protection to Brinley as well. As they follow the clues about the unknown dead man, Jason calls in help from law enforcement background teammates as backup, and little by little the case begins to unfold. Though it all Jason fights his demons, having been held prisoner by drug lords, he fears making a commitment to Brinley, the one person who make him feel again. Brinley is determined to get through to Kevin, refusing to allow him to allow his past to dictate the future she knows they could have if he would just let go… and learn to trust. HEAT RATING: 7 out of 1
