Whitney is starting her senior year of high school. For three years she was invisible and too many, too skinny. She comes in to her senior year, developed and curvy in all of the right places. Her best friend, as well as captain of the cheerleading squad, convinces Whitney to try out for the squad. She agrees and that is when Troy notices her.
Troy is the King of his high school and King on the field. Troy dreams of a bigger and brighter future for himself. He plans to win a football scholarship to college, getting him out of his home town and away from his abusive father. From there he plans to become an NFL star and become a multi-millionaire. Throughout his high school career, Troy has been a male-slut, getting plenty of action but never having a girlfriend. Therefore, Troy is blind-sided when he falls in love with Whitney so quickly.
After a night full of passion, Whitney discovers shortly after, that she is pregnant. In order to prevent Troy from giving up his NFL dream, Whitney leaves the United States and moves to Italy in order to keep the secret of her pregnancy from Troy.
After five years of keeping in touch with her best friend and living her life, still fully loving Troy, Whitney returns to the United States in order to finally introduce her daughter to her father. During her absence, Troy was heartbroken and continued to love Whitney. He took the anger which he developed towards her for leaving him, the way that she did, and became the NFL player he desired to be.
When faced with seeing Troy, will Whitney have the courage to tell Troy her secret? If Whitney does tell Troy that he is a father, will he step up to the plate? Or will he deny, deny, deny!?!? Despite all odds, can Whitney and Troy admit their love to one another? Or will they forever give up their love?
I give this book four out of four stars. The book was well written. It has a wonderful story line keeping me wanting more. The storyline is also plausible making it that much more entertaining. I could not put down the book and finished it within three hours and then ranted and raved about it so much, my friend is also reading the book and loving it as well. I absolutely love Troy and saw him as superman, wanting to be in his arms opposed to Whitney. Highly recommend this book!!!

Oh, my. I LOVED this book! Whitney frustrated me so bad at times, but I loved the ending. Great review!
