Dangerous Care is the first book in the new series by M.M. Cameron, with the saga featuring the same name as the first novel. Published in October in 2016, I feel very lucky to have been one of the first readers to experience Dangerous Care. At 258 pages, this novel is easily read in a day or two, which is just what I did. As not only romance, readers with a preference in different genres could be interested in this one, as it also features a fast-paced mix of action and thrill. With the romance and thrill involvement, this book had a similar feeling as the Slow Burn series by Maya Banks.

Kathryn is a physiotherapist for some of the most elite athletes in Canada, and has dedicated herself to complete professionalism in her business. Although Kathryn is always used to feeling in control, that all begins to sway when she meets Madoc. With a dominating personality tough enough to match Kathryn’s, Madoc proves to be mysterious, throwing Kathryn into a web of lies and secrets from the moment they meet. Determined to unveil his true identity, all while trying to resist the sexual tension between them, Katheryn becomes more involved than she could ever imagine.

I’ve spent copious amounts of time looking for a romance novel that will hold my attention and actually feel genuine. I was pleasantly surprised with how I felt about Dangerous Care. The romance was present, but not too much to make me feel like it was only a smutty duplicate of others. The action that was depicted was written to seem realistic, down to the mentions of specifics on the firearms. My reactions throughout this book seemed to move from being smitten for both main characters, to totally shocked, and then into a fit of nail biting that lasted until the end.

Try as I might, I am not able to find a single flaw with the structure or the story line of Dangerous Care. I found several of the characters to be relatable, especially Kathryn. Some feelings that she describes feel so true and have such realistic emotion behind them, it feels as if it’s a lifelong friend talking. Something I feel the need to brag on with this book is the maturity while expressing sexual scenes. Although there are some scenes and spots of language that are used explicitly, they are done so in what I can say is a tasteful manner.

With no room for complaints, I am happy to give Dangerous Care 4 out of 4 stars. With this being the first book in the series, I can only imagine what the author has thought up to follow. I will definitely be checking back in to see what is in store for Katheryn and Madoc, as well as the rest of the team that played a part in this inviting story. I can easily recommend this book to other readers who have a fling for romance, and those that enjoy thriller novels, as this one contains both.

What a great review! It sounds like it might be similar to a romance I read where the woman was a sports medicine person and the guy was a boxer. I didn't really care for that one (so much I can't even remember the title or author). Your description of Dangerous Care makes it sound a little more complex though. I'm looking forward to checking it out.

This book sounds like the perfect romance novel. I feel like romance books can lose their appeal if the story doesn't seem realistic. Since this book is down to earth and the main character is relatable, I can't wait to read it! Thank you for such a great review.
