Discussion: The Teardrop Story Woman

Recently I came across this book I once read "The Teardrop Story Woman" by Catherine Lim. I enjoyed it when I was a few years younger but now upon reading it again, I can't help but feel the descriptions were somewhat crude and unnecessary, and the story just kind of depresses the inner feminist within me. What do you think of the book, if anyone have read it?
