I have never hated a book like this in my entire life. THIS BOOK WAS TOTAL TRASH. Don't mind me I'll just rant about this sh*t real quick. The story was great for the first half not gonna lie but then the roller coaster hit. It was supposed to be edgy and full of angst and yes when there was all of this drama but there were shits that could never be forgiven.

MACY, our female lead has to be the dumbest person on this planet. First, I had so much sympathy for her that there were no limits, she recently lost her parent and for a gateway she and her dad finally found a place for it. They go there on vacations. She met our male lead in her house and she immediately befriended him. They were inseparable. They shared a hobby of reading books which was so good for any 11-year-old.

ELLIOT, my dear male lead had a wonderful family. Siblings, both parents, etc. My guy was happy but kinda loner and preferred books over people. He usually used to go to Macy's and they used to read books together.

SPOILERS!!!!!
As I mentioned in previous chapters they did not have any care in the world and shared books to read. They had their own little thing that whenever they met they would ask each other their favorite words which they recently have learned. Then when they were separated they used to email each other and talk. Then they grew up, and at the age of 16, both of them were experiencing hormonal changes as well as physical changes in them. Macy became hella horny in these chapters and always talked about Elliot's d***. She couldn't keep her hands off of it. One night they just let their feelings take over and kissed. After that, they started dating.

Then something terrible happened and they didn't talk for 11 YEARS. Suddenly one day when Macy and Elliot met he asked her where she had been and why didn't she keep any contact with him. She couldn't answer him and just stood there trying to give him excuses, afterwards, Elliot asked about her dad who had died the day she ran away from his life but she just told him that he died and didn't give him any answers to his how's, when's, and what's. This sh*t goes on and off....their talking time.

Yes, the reason she went away was had cheated on her, betrayed her, and hurt her in ways which could never be forgiven. And yes, his betrayal cut deep, leaving scars that would never fully heal. Yet, when he pleaded for another chance, she found it in her heart to forgive him, believing in the power of redemption and their shared love.

I draw the line between anything and cheating and this was just not the one for me.

This is one my favorite books, but I see several very valid points you make! But I do want to point out one thing, and you may disagree (several of my friends I read it with do) but I don’t believe Elliott cheated. I very very firmly believe he was assaulted, the story states how he was extremely drunk and even thought it was Macy with him, meaning he was in NO place to consent to anything that took place that night. The girl led him up stairs away from the party and the authors state how his friends where very confused and shocked.
