STORY-LINE MEND ME MEND MY HEART BY SUZANNE JENKINS:
In Mend Me Mend My Heart, the reader finds Charlotte Baker, widowed for 5 years; raising her son and daughter alone. Keeping her husband, Steve's memory alive, Charlotte and the children visit his grave on Sundays. As the children are growing up, Charlotte finds herself at the cemetery alone where she takes a fall. Coming to her rescue, hunky caretaker Matt Stewart, makes Charlotte think of things she hasn't thought of in 5 years. Things are falling in place, sometimes almost magically, for Matt and Charlotte.

CHARACTERS, PLOTTING, DEVELOPMENT:
I found the review for romance novel, Mend Me Mend My Heart, easy to form in my head and hard to transfer to paper. I hope I do this novel justice and you run out to buy a copy. Suzanne Jenkins always provides deep emotion, well-developed characters, and stories lines which hold the reader captivated. Although a romance story, this romance novel is so much more. Jenkins created a story of love, loss, renewal, belief in things unseen, and second chances. A pungent story of losing the anchor in your and your children's life, as well as, starting over and believing in second chances.
Jenkins developed the characters in Mend Me Mend My Heart to their full potential. I found Matt Stewart the perfect man for Charlotte; kind, wise, compassionate, and giving. It doesn't hurt he's handsome as sin; and known to some as "the hunky cemetery grave-digger". This romance takes a slow and easy journey as Charlotte and Matt grow closer and closer; almost as if it's directed by other-world forces.
Throwing in Margaret, the villainess who's jealous of Charlotte, was a crafty stroke by Jenkins. You will love to hate Margaret, I was grinding my teeth at her antics. I wanted to shake her until her eyes rolled; with friends like Margaret, Charlotte doesn't need any enemies. Never fear, Charlotte's core of friends stand by her; extending help when needed.
In concluding my romance book reviews of Mend Me Mend My Heart, I found a sweet clean romance filled with emotion. I cried, laughed, sighed, and at the end I closed the book with a "feel good " feeling. The pace and plot, smooth and study, held my attention from the first pages of the novel. This book's suitable for anyone who loves to read a great love story filled with intriguing characters and a good plot. Jenkins skillfully brought all the plot threads together to form a cohesive entertaining romance novel.
