The story starts with Sue, who just divorced Kelvin and has five children. She prays to GOD to help her find another husband and provider. She meets Father Louis and is immediately attracted to him, but he is a priest. He is attracted to her, also, but, again, he is a priest. Father Louis has a vision of a woman that he is going to marry and take care of. The woman is Sue. GOD sends a message to the Father that he will release him from his duties as a priest if he marries Sue and takes care of her and her children.

Father Louis is afraid of marriage and doesn't know what is expected of him regarding marital duties. He goes to Abuja, Nigeria, to a new parish and agrees to marry Sue in one year if she has yet to get married by then. One year goes by, and Sue is still single. The couple get married; as luck will have it, everything is terrific and falls into place. They receive a bucket load of money and a mansion to live in courtesy of Mr. Smithworth. They start calling each other King and Queen, and the King learns very quickly the ways of sex and not only is very good at it but has a ferrous appetite for it.

The Substitute Part 2: A Christian Romance by God's Praise Gaga is a very religious book. I was surprised at how much religion was involved. I found the storyline to be unbelievable. Everything is just perfect, and they are madly in love. Their sex life is fantastic, and Sue immediately becomes pregnant with twins, a boy and a girl. The way they call each other King and Queen is annoying and cheesy. Sue has five children, but they are hardly mentioned. Where are they living? Are they living with the King and Queen or with her ex, Kelvin? How old are they?

The author's writing style is fluid and easily comprehensible, enhancing the reading experience. The book is professionally edited, instilling confidence in its quality. While the narrative contains numerous intimate scenes, it maintains a respectful tone, with only one instance of profanity. Despite being labeled as a Christian Romance, I would advise caution in recommending this book to young adults.

Overall, I would rate The Substitute Part 2: A Christian Romance by God's Praise Gaga 3 out of 5 stars. The storyline, while overshadowed by excessive sentimentality, shows promise. With a more balanced approach, the book could potentially offer a more enjoyable reading experience in the future.

The book titled "The Substitute Part 2" by God's Praise Igaga is a deeply religious tale of Sue and Father Louis's unconventional love story.

It sounds like the story explores themes of faith, love, and unexpected turns in life. Sue's journey from divorce and prayers for a new husband to meeting Father Louis, who faces a profound decision between his calling and personal happiness, creates a complex narrative. The progression to their marriage, supported by divine guidance and unexpected blessings like wealth and a luxurious home, adds layers of intrigue and possibly challenges for their relationship. The storyline seems to blend elements of spirituality, romance, and personal growth, making for a compelling read.

It does seem a little surprising that this book has such a focus on religion, based on summary, but it does seem like an interesting one to check out.

I am surprised that a Christian romance plot would not include the five children into the story as characters. I agree with you that this is a big flaw. So unchristian! It is great that you pointed this out. Other than that, the plot and its development is believable. Great review as usual, Shirley Ann. :techie-studyinggray:

Reading the review, it seems that "The Substitute Part 2: A Christian Romance" by God's Praise Gaga has a strong religious theme. The storyline, although idealistic and perfect, seems unbelievable. It lacks depth in exploring the main character's family dynamics. The writing style is fluid and well-edited, making it easy to read. However, the excessive sentimentality and cheesy manner of addressing each other as King and Queen can be off-putting. Considering these aspects, I would rate the book 3 out of 5 stars, indicating that it may not be the best read for young adults. Touching moments, brought tears to my eyes.
