To get a book published, start by polishing your manuscript, then research literary agents or publishers who align with your genre. Craft a compelling query letter and submit it along with sample chapters. Persistence is key in navigating the submission process. Consider attending writing conferences or networking with authors to gain insights. Self-publishing is also an option if you prefer more control over the publishing process.

Many publishers run one day courses about how to get published. The cost of the course is a good investment in your writing career as you get to find out who the key people are in that organisation. You may even get to meet some of them and get the chance to do a mini-pitch of your book idea to them.

Well, that is the key -- making some money out of the project. Ultimately that is the measurement of whether the book is a sucess or not.

I feel like you need to be somebody special already for a literary agent to accept your proposal. Especially nowadays, with social media and influencers. It seems like authors who want to start out don't have a chance unless they have that social media following. Any thoughts on this?

criticism and advice is needed and necessary to give your own book a tweak. publishers and agents are looking for an individual who is set forth and straight to the point. making sure you have all your complete and necessary written down information to getting your book published and out there is key. it's key to want your book to be noticed and published. it's about having that determination inside. it's about having that fire. guys it's about your hands typing so fast because you can't wait to get your book and seen. agents understand what they are needing from a publisher, so you as a publisher go forth and set that table.
