1. Go through your music and write down the ones with interesting titles. I took five of these and formed a poem but one could easily inspire a story by itself.
2. Describe five objects fom the perspective of a blind person.
3. Genre flip: write one paragraph and then switch to a a different genre. You can keep doing this and may even find out you enjoy writing a way you have never written before.

I must say as well that Pinterest has some super neat writing prompts that I have never actually tried using, but have read through them and may end up using some one of these days.

klbradley wrote:I have wondered this so much, and have actually sat down several different times with expectations for it to all just come out and fly to paper. But it just doesn't work that way for me. Sometimes I will have really good ideas, but then realize that I may not be able to engourge an entire book around that one thought. So maybe short stories or novellas would be a better idea for me.
I am the exact same way! I will have a thought that I think is fabulous but then question how I could possibly turn that into an entire novel! The only problem is I am a bit impatient so I am sure I COULD come up with an entire book, but when I get stuck it's hard for me to just give it time to see if anything else will come along. Short stories or novellas are probably also going to be what I stick to, but maybe one day I will see if I can get a story to become a complete book. I am sure it's possible! Just can't give up!
