I agree. I haven't used pencils since elementary school (now of course, when dealing with math in high school/college, I used pencils). Pencils are too messy.DuchessAngel37 wrote:This might sound like a silly question, but it might not be.
Do you prefer to write in pencil or pen?
For me, it's the pen. I can't do pencils. Ink is so much smoother, and when I make a mistake or want to change something I wrote I just scribble it out and keep going.
A friend of mine prefers pencil, when he wants to change something, he stops to erase it and does it over.
What about you?

Recently that changed! I started writing first draft material with a pen and then typing the draft into the computer.
So why the change?
Well, there's something freeing about a pen and paper--I know it's going to be a mess so I don't worry about what I'm writing. I just get the basic story, dialog, exposition, etc. on the page because I know I can fix it later.
Crazy how habits can change, huh?

But mostly I type my stories if possible. My handwriting annot keep up with the flow of words in my head like the keyboard can, so I tend to forget things between writing and thinking using paper and pencil.
But other than that, I tend to love keeping the paper around... ^-^
