The horse Chris fights to protect isn’t just a symbol of freedom—it’s a tangible anchor for his hope and defiance. The emotional weight of their bond makes his dangerous choice to save it feel inevitable and profoundly human.

Thanks for the review! This is a story of hope, resilience, and determination. Chris has his passion for sketching to help him escape his abusive home environment, as well as supportive new friends. The lengths he goes to to protect himself and the horse he loves—his journey through the Australian bushland is both dangerous and exciting.

Chris is easy to root for because of his struggles with his abusive family. You'll be interested with his healing journey. Also, horses are cool! Go give Racing the Wild a read!

This book tells the story of a shy boy who has to start over at a new school. He's passionate about drawing and a defender of his ideals. This book contains rich descriptions of landscapes, a great story, and excellent narrative. Great work #BOTD

It's a heartwarming, feel-good story. The story being set in the Australian bushland is refreshing. I haven't read many books set in Australia. Chris' story seems interesting, I will give it a go.

Racing the Wild is a captivating young adult novel. The book seems to be a coming of age story that readers across different ages and backgrounds can read and resonate with. Chris seems like a relatable character. I'm curious about his journey and adventures in the Australian bushland.

This is an amazing review that captures the book's essence wholistically. Two things about Chris make me want to read this book. First, his love for drawing and how he uses this talent to express his emotions and navigate chaotic times. Second, is his ability to fight for what he believes. This is my next read.

Racing the Wild sounds like an incredible book but I am not sure I'd love to read about being bullied or a harsh/abusive family environment because those are triggers. However, on the brighter side, I love that Chris fights for what he believes in, which leads him on his journey. By the way, congratulations to the author on BOTD!

I like this book a lot because the story touch my heart. The people in the book feel real, and I understand their problems. Sometimes the words were hard, but I keep reading because I wanted to know what would happen next. The way it talk about life and feelings was very strong. I think many people will feel something when they read it.

Hi Limpho! ☺I totally understand those kinds of topics can be really tough to read, especially when they hit close to home. I felt the same way at some parts. I hope you won't get offended as I go check your reviews to see your thoughts on various books too.

Chris shows us that, no matter how broken you feel inside or how many times you've failed, there's always a way to get back up, not by pretending everything is okay, but by facing what truly hurts.

While you might start out not too attached to Chris’ character, you will soon find yourself rooting for him from the sidelines. As I read, I found myself drawn to the story of his personal growth and strength, and waiting in anticipation to see him get the ending that he deserved.
